Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups raw pecan halves
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2. Whisk egg whites in a large bowl until frothy.
  • 3. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  • 4. Add pecans and stir until fully coated.
  • 5. Mix sugars, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and cloves in a separate bowl.
  • 6. Combine sugar mixture with pecans and stir evenly.
  • 7. Spread pecans in a single layer on baking sheet.
  • 8. Bake 45–60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • 9. Remove and cool completely.
  • 10. Break apart and serve.
