- 1 medium yellow onion finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cans 14 oz each whole peeled tomatoes
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon sugar optional
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional

1. Heat olive oil or butter in a large pot over medium heat and cook onion until soft

7. Blend until smooth
