  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • 1. Cut the corn kernels from the cob if using fresh corn and prepare all ingredients before cooking.
  • 2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until smooth and bubbly.
  • 3. Add the corn kernels and cook for 5 to 7 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  • 4. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, then stir until fully combined.
  • 5. Reduce the heat slightly and allow the mixture to simmer gently.
  • 6. Add the cream cheese in small pieces and stir continuously until fully melted.
  • 7. Season the mixture with sugar, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  • 8. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and continue cooking until the sauce thickens.
  • 9. Simmer for several more minutes until the Creamed Corn reaches your preferred consistency.
  • 10. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving warm.

Notes

Use fresh corn during peak season for the sweetest and most flavorful results.
Cut the cream cheese into small cubes before adding it so it melts smoothly into the sauce.
If the Creamed Corn becomes too thick, stir in a splash of milk while reheating to restore the creamy texture.
