Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 package freezer jam pectin about 1.75 oz
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg optional

Instructions
 

  • 1. Rinse the cranberries thoroughly, remove stems, and pulse until finely chopped with slight texture
  • 2. Combine cranberries with orange juice and orange zest in a large bowl
  • 3. Add sugar, stir well, and let sit for 10–15 minutes
  • 4. Boil water and pectin for 1 minute while stirring constantly
  • 5. Mix hot pectin into fruit mixture and stir for 2–3 minutes
  • 6. Add optional spices and mix היט
  • 7. Pour into jars leaving 1/2 inch space
  • 8. Let sit at room temperature for 24 hours to set
  • 9. Store in freezer or refrigerator
  • 10. Serve and enjoy

Notes

Use fresh cranberries for best flavor and texture
Ensure pectin reaches a full rolling boil for proper setting
Leave space in jars to allow expansion during freezing
