Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips optional
  • 1/2 cup Valentine sprinkles
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips for drizzle
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • 2. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • 3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • 4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  • 5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  • 6. Fold in Oreo chunks and chocolate chips gently.
  • 7. Chill dough for 20–30 minutes for thicker cookies.
  • 8. Scoop dough onto baking sheet and top with extra Oreo pieces and sprinkles.
  • 9. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers soft.
  • 10. Cool on baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • 11. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil until smooth.
  • 12. Drizzle melted chocolate over cooled cookies.
  • 13. Let chocolate set before serving.

Notes

Use softened butter, not melted, for best texture.
Chilling the dough improves thickness and flavor.
Do not overbake—cookies should look slightly underdone in the center.
