1 cup unsalted butter

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3/4 cup cocoa powder

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups powdered sugar

3 tablespoons heavy cream

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

2 drops green food coloring (optional)

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

2 tablespoons butter


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Melt butter and mix with sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.

3. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Mix until just combined.

4. Pour batter into pan and bake for 20–25 minutes. Let cool completely.

5. Mix powdered sugar, cream, and peppermint extract until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.

6. Spread mint layer evenly over cooled brownies and chill for 20–30 minutes.

7. Melt chocolate chips with butter until smooth.

8. Pour chocolate over mint layer and spread evenly.

9. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until set.

10. Slice into squares and serve.

Use high-quality cocoa powder and chocolate for the best flavor.

Do not skip chilling between layers to keep them clean and defined.
