Ingredients

Scale

4 salmon fillets

1/3 cup honey

2 tablespoons hot sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 green onions, sliced

1 teaspoon sesame seeds

2 cups cooked rice

2 cups roasted broccoli

Instructions

1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes until fully combined.

3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes without moving them.

5. Carefully flip the salmon fillets and reduce the heat slightly.

6. Pour the hot honey glaze into the skillet and allow it to simmer gently.

7. Spoon the glaze repeatedly over the salmon while it cooks for another 4 to 5 minutes.

8. Add butter to the skillet and continue basting until the glaze thickens and becomes glossy.

9. Remove the salmon from the heat once it flakes easily with a fork.

10. Let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.

11. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

12. Serve hot with rice and roasted broccoli.

Notes

Use salmon fillets with similar thickness so they cook evenly and stay tender.

Pat the salmon dry before cooking to help create a golden caramelized crust.

Adjust the spice level by adding more or less hot sauce and red pepper flakes depending on your preference.
