- 2 ½ cups high-quality white chocolate (divided, 2 cups for filling, ½ cup for coating)
- ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 teaspoon orange zest (preferably from a fresh orange)
- ½ teaspoon orange extract
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for rolling, optional)
Instructions
- In a heatproof bowl, melt 2 cups of white chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Stir in the sweetened condensed milk, orange zest, orange extract, and softened butter until the mixture is well combined.
- Cover and refrigerate the mixture for about 1 hour, or until firm enough to scoop.
- Once chilled, scoop out small portions and roll them into balls using your hands. Place them on a parchment-lined tray.
- Chill the truffle balls for another 15–20 minutes to firm up.
- Melt the remaining ½ cup white chocolate and let it cool slightly to thicken.
- Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork or dipping tool, and place them back on the tray.
- Optional: Once set, roll truffles in powdered sugar for a finished look.
