Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter melted

1 1/4 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups mini chocolate Easter eggs

1/2 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.

3. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.

4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then stir in vanilla extract.

5. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.

6. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.

7. Fold in Easter eggs and chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.

8. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan and press extra candies on top.

9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly soft.

10. Cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

Do not overbake to keep the bars soft and chewy in the center.

Use room temperature eggs for a smoother batter and better texture.

Press extra Easter eggs on top before baking for a more colorful finish.
