Crust:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Cheesecake Layer:

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Strawberry Layer:

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup strawberry pie filling or strawberry preserves
  • Optional: extra fresh strawberries for garnish

Optional Toppings:

  • Whipped cream
  • Powdered sugar
  • Crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Combine yellow cake mix with melted butter. Press mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add granulated sugar and blend. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract, mixing until combined.

  4. Spread cheesecake mixture evenly over the crust.
