A blissful dessert layered with strawberry pie filling, fresh berries, sweetened cream cheese, buttery cake mix, and a golden, crispy top. This dump cake is rich, fruity, and indulgently creamy—perfect for gatherings or a no-fuss sweet fix.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box vanilla or yellow cake mix
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, halved
  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly in the dish.
  3. Add halved fresh strawberries over the pie filling.
  4. Mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth; dollop and gently spread over berries.
  5. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the top.
  6. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix, covering as much as possible.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  8. Cool for at least 15 minutes. Serve warm or chilled, optionally topped with powdered sugar.
