- 250g spaghetti or linguine
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- ½ cup pasta water (reserved)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta:
- Boil a pot of salted water and cook the pasta until al dente (8-10 minutes).
- Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
- Sear the Sausage:
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced sausage and sear until golden and caramelized on both sides. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sticky Honey Garlic Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add soy sauce, honey, and chili flakes, stirring to combine.
- Simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Combine Everything:
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sticky sauce.
- Pour in a splash of reserved pasta water to help the sauce stick to the pasta.
- Return the seared sausage to the pan and mix well.
