Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
1 medium yellow onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
2 cups beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and add ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
3. Pour in diced tomatoes (with juice), tomato sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes to develop flavor.
5. Meanwhile, cook elbow macaroni in a separate pot according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
6. Add cooked macaroni to the sauce, stirring well to coat. Let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot. Add shredded cheese on top for extra flavor.
Notes
Make the sauce ahead and store separately from the pasta to keep it from getting soggy.
You can easily double the recipe for meal prepping or freezing.
Add shredded cheese for a creamy twist your family will love.
