- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dough)
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Extra powdered sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until well combined.
- Fold in chopped nuts and vanilla extract.
- Shape the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just golden.
- Let the cookies cool for 5 minutes, then roll in powdered sugar while still warm. Let them cool completely on a wire rack.
- Roll in powdered sugar again, if desired, for a heavier coating.
