1 large egg
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1–2 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with 4–6 cupcake liners.
2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing gently.
6. Fill liners two-thirds full with batter.
7. Bake for 14–18 minutes until done.
8. Cool completely on a rack.
9. Beat butter for frosting until creamy.
10. Add powdered sugar gradually.
11. Mix in vanilla, salt, and milk until fluffy.
12. Color frosting if desired.
13. Pipe frosting and add sprinkles.
