Description

Sausage French Toast Roll-Ups are a sweet and savory breakfast treat made with soft bread rolled around sausage links, dipped in a cinnamon-egg batter, and pan-fried until golden brown. They’re perfect for quick breakfasts, brunches, or even freezing ahead for later.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices soft white sandwich bread
  • 8 cooked breakfast sausage links
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk (any kind)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
  • Maple syrup or powdered sugar (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Trim crusts from bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.
  2. Place one sausage link on the edge of each bread slice and roll tightly.
  3. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla (if using).
  4. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, coating all sides.
  5. Melt butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  6. Place roll-ups seam-side down and cook, turning until all sides are golden and crisp (5–7 minutes total).
  7. Serve warm with maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar.
