Step 1: Prepare the Cheesecake Layer
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing just until combined. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Wrap the pan with foil and place in a larger baking dish. Fill with hot water halfway up the sides.
