Ingredients

Scale

1 pound ground beef

3 cups broccoli florets

4 tablespoons soy sauce

3 tablespoons honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon cornstarch

⅓ cup water

1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

2 cups cooked white rice (for serving)

Instructions

1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 6–8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

2. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, and water until smooth.

4. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir to coat the beef. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.

5. While the sauce thickens, steam or microwave the broccoli until tender but crisp (about 3–4 minutes).

6. Add cooked broccoli to the skillet and toss to combine with the beef and sauce.

7. Drizzle with sesame oil if using, and stir to blend flavors.

8. Serve hot over a bed of cooked rice and enjoy!

Notes

Steam the broccoli separately to avoid overcooking it in the pan.

You can double the sauce if serving with extra rice or veggies.

For added flavor, garnish with sesame seeds or green onions.
