Ingredients

Scale

12 slider rolls

2 1/2 cups cooked shredded chicken

1 cup BBQ sauce

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese

1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons butter, melted

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with BBQ sauce. Mix until well coated. Season if needed.

3. Slice the entire slab of slider rolls horizontally. Place the bottom half into the prepared dish.

4. Layer the BBQ chicken mixture evenly over the rolls. Top with cheese and sliced red onion. Place the top buns back on.

5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and oregano. Brush this mixture over the top buns. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.

6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 12-15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.

7. Let sliders cool for 3-5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with extra BBQ sauce, slaw, or pickles if desired.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken to save time and boost flavor.

Lightly toasting the bottom buns helps prevent sogginess.

Brushing the tops with garlic herb butter creates a beautiful golden finish.
