Whether you need quick breakfast pastries, easy dinner desserts, or healthy snack alternatives with fruit, this easy recipe delivers big on flavor with minimal effort. Perfect for breakfast ideas, dinner ideas, or food ideas when you’re in a pinch!

Ingredients

Scale

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count)

1 large apple (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and sliced into 8 thin wedges

3 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Optional: pinch of nutmeg

Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts for garnish

Optional: sea salt flakes for finishing

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a small bowl, mix together sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using).

3. Peel, core, and slice apple into 8 wedges, then toss slices in half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

4. Unroll crescent dough into triangles and place one apple slice on each. Roll up from wide end.

5. Brush each rolled piece with melted butter and sprinkle remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture on top.

6. Place on prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and crisp.

7. Let cool for 5 minutes, drizzle with caramel, and garnish with nuts or sea salt if desired.

Notes

Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp to avoid soggy filling.

Avoid overfilling the crescent dough to ensure even baking.

An air fryer or toaster oven is best for reheating leftovers to maintain crispiness.
