Ingredients
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 can (15 oz) cream of coconut
1 can (13.5 oz) coconut milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 to 1 cup white rum
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 pinch ground cloves (optional)
Cinnamon sticks (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
1. Pour evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, cream of coconut, coconut milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves (if using), and rum into a blender.
2. Blend for 1–2 minutes on high until completely smooth and creamy.
3. Taste and adjust sweetness, spices, or rum as needed. Add a splash of milk if too thick.
4. For an ultra-smooth result, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
5. Transfer Coquito into glass bottles or jars using a funnel.
6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best flavor.
7. Shake well before serving and garnish with cinnamon sticks or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
8. Serve cold and enjoy this creamy holiday favorite!
Notes
For the creamiest Coquito, always use full-fat canned coconut milk and cream of coconut.
Make it ahead of time—the flavors meld beautifully overnight in the fridge.
Don’t skip the shaking before serving; natural separation is normal with coconut-based drinks.
