It’s a must-have for your collection of easy food ideas.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature

1 cup creamy peanut butter (commercial, no-stir)

3 cups powdered sugar, sifted

2 to 4 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch salt

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter and peanut butter on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2–3 minutes.

2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed until fully incorporated.

3. Add the vanilla extract and pinch of salt. Beat for another minute to combine.

4. Adjust the consistency by adding heavy cream or milk one tablespoon at a time until desired thickness is achieved.

5. Use immediately or store for later. If storing, bring to room temperature and re-whip before use.

Notes

Always use room-temperature butter to ensure a smooth, lump-free texture.

For the best flavor and texture, use a commercial peanut butter like Jif or Skippy.

If you plan to pipe this icing, make sure it’s slightly thicker by adding less cream.
