Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon milk

1/3 cup chocolate chips (plus more for topping)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners or grease lightly.

2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir in granulated and brown sugar until combined.

3. Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract.

4. In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

5. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until just combined.

6. Spoon the batter evenly into muffin tins, about 3/4 full.

7. Bake for 15–18 minutes until the tops are set. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

8. In a bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth and spreadable.

9. Once brownie cups are mostly cooled, spread peanut butter mixture on top of each.

10. Press additional chocolate chips into the top while still soft.

11. Let set at room temperature or chill briefly.

12. Serve warm, room temp, or chilled.

Notes

Make sure to cool the brownie base before adding the peanut butter topping.

Don’t overmix the brownie batter to keep the texture moist and fudgy.

Sprinkle sea salt on top for a sweet-salty flavor boost.
