Ingredients

Scale

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

4 slices Swiss cheese

4 slices deli ham

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon milk

1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

Salt and black pepper to taste

Toothpicks or kitchen twine for securing

Cooking spray

Instructions

1. Lay chicken breasts between plastic wrap and pound to 1/4-inch thickness. Season with salt and pepper.

2. Layer one slice of ham and one slice of cheese on each piece of chicken. Roll tightly and secure with toothpicks.

3. Chill rolled chicken in the fridge for 15–20 minutes.

4. Prepare breading stations: flour, beaten eggs with milk, and breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.

5. Dredge each roll in flour, then egg wash, then breadcrumbs. Press firmly to coat.

6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and a wire rack. Spray lightly with cooking spray.

7. Place breaded rolls on rack, drizzle with olive oil or melted butter.

8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

9. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Chill the rolled chicken before breading to help them hold shape and prevent filling leakage.

Use a wire rack to maintain a crispy coating on all sides.

Add dried herbs or spices to the breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor.
