- 2 cups uncooked penne or rotini pasta
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup honey BBQ sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced sausage and sear until browned on all sides, about 5–7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic and crushed red pepper flakes; cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add dry pasta and chicken broth to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, stir in the honey BBQ sauce.
- Let it simmer uncovered for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot!
