Ingredients

Scale

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

0.5 teaspoon onion powder

0.5 teaspoon chili powder

0.5 teaspoon salt

0.25 teaspoon black pepper

8 ounces linguine pasta

1 tablespoon butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

0.5 teaspoon red pepper flakes

1.5 cups chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley or basil, chopped

Optional: 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Optional: 1 cup baby spinach or sun-dried tomatoes

Instructions

1. Pat chicken dry and coat with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

2. Heat a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let rest.

3. Reduce heat to medium. In the same pan, melt butter, then add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté until fragrant.

4. Deglaze with a splash of chicken broth, scraping up brown bits.

5. Pour in the rest of the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add linguine, stir, and cook for 9–11 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6. Once pasta is al dente, lower heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan. Mix until smooth and creamy.

7. Season sauce with salt and pepper. Add more red pepper flakes if you like extra spice.

8. Slice the rested chicken and add to pasta or serve on top. Garnish with herbs and more Parmesan.

Notes

Let chicken rest before slicing to keep it juicy.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother, richer sauce.

Lower the heat before adding cream to avoid curdling.
