Description

These No-Bake Rice Krispie Christmas Puddings are a festive, fun, and easy recipe that’s perfect for the holiday season. With a chewy, crunchy base of chocolate-coated Rice Krispies and a charming decoration of white chocolate “icing,” holly leaves, and red candy berries, they capture the magic of Christmas in every bite. Ideal for edible gifts, party treats, or an engaging kitchen activity with kids, this easy recipe fits into any list of quick breakfast ideas, healthy snack alternatives, or food ideas for festive events.

Ingredients

Scale

2 ½ cups Rice Krispies cereal

2 ½ cups mini marshmallows

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

½ cup white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate)

12 red candies (like M&Ms or jelly tots)

Green icing or fondant for holly leaves

Instructions

1. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.

2. Stir in the mini marshmallows and keep stirring until fully melted and smooth.

3. Remove from heat and mix in cocoa powder.

4. Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated.

5. With greased or damp hands, shape mixture into small pudding-sized balls and place on parchment paper.

6. Let them set for 20–30 minutes at room temperature.

7. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring between each.

8. Spoon the melted white chocolate on top of each ball to resemble pudding icing.

9. Quickly decorate with red candy and green icing before the white chocolate hardens.

10. Allow to set completely before serving or storing.

Notes

Use fresh marshmallows for the best texture and easier melting.

Lightly grease your hands with butter or oil before shaping the balls.

For longer storage, decorate just before serving to maintain the freshest look.
