Ingredients
1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk, divided
4 tablespoons butter, divided
¼ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
½ teaspoon mint extract
2–3 drops green food coloring (optional)
¼ cup chopped chocolate chunks or chips (for topping)
Instructions
1. Line an 8×8-inch square pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang, and lightly grease it.
2. In a saucepan, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips with half the condensed milk, 2 tablespoons butter, and salt over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
3. Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pan and smooth it out. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until set.
4. In a clean saucepan, melt white chocolate chips with remaining condensed milk and butter over low heat, stirring constantly.
5. Remove from heat and stir in mint extract and green food coloring.
6. Pour the mint layer over the chilled chocolate layer and gently spread evenly.
7. Sprinkle chopped chocolate chunks on top and lightly press them into the mint layer.
8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until completely firm.
9. Lift fudge from the pan using parchment overhang and cut into squares, wiping the knife between cuts for clean slices.
Notes
Use high-quality chocolate to ensure the best flavor and smoothest texture.
Don’t rush the chilling steps—letting each layer set fully ensures clean, even layers.
White chocolate is sensitive to heat—melt slowly and gently to avoid seizing.
