Longhorn Parmesan Chicken is a crispy, cheesy, and flavorful dish inspired by the famous restaurant recipe. Juicy chicken breasts are coated with a parmesan crust, pan-seared to perfection, then baked and topped with a creamy garlic butter sauce. This easy yet elegant dish is perfect for family dinners or special occasions!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Creamy Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken – Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Coat the Chicken – In a shallow dish, combine grated parmesan and panko breadcrumbs. Dip each chicken breast into melted butter, then coat with the parmesan mixture.
  3. Sear the Chicken – Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Bake the Chicken – Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Make the Sauce – In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  6. Assemble and Serve – Remove the chicken from the oven and drizzle the creamy garlic butter sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra parmesan. Serve warm and enjoy!
