Ingredients

1 lb ground lamb or beef

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 carrots, diced

½ cup peas

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

½ cup beef or vegetable broth

4 cups mashed potatoes

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp rosemary

2 tbsp butter

¼ cup milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground meat in a skillet until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add onions, garlic, carrots, and peas, sautéing until tender.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  5. Pour in broth and let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Prepare mashed potatoes with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
  7. Spread the meat filling evenly in a baking dish.
  8. Top with mashed potatoes, spreading evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
