Ingredients

Scale

1 pound breakfast sausage

8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1 cup sour cream

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped (optional topping)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly. Drain any excess grease.

3. In a large bowl, combine Velveeta, cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Add the cooked sausage and half of the cheddar cheese.

4. Microwave the mixture for 1-2 minutes to soften cheeses, then stir until everything is well combined.

5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 8×8-inch baking dish and smooth the top.

6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top.

7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until hot and bubbly with a golden top.

8. Remove from oven, top with chopped bacon and parsley.

9. Serve immediately with chips, baguette slices, or veggie sticks.

Notes

Let the cream cheese soften before mixing to ensure a smooth blend.

Use freshly shredded cheddar for better melt and flavor.

Microwave the mix slightly to make stirring easier before baking.
