- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- Fresh fruit for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the angel food cake into bite-sized cubes.
- Layer half of the cake cubes in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spoon half of the cherry pie filling evenly over the cake.
- In a bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix, milk, and sour cream until smooth.
- Spread the pudding mixture over the cake and cherry layer.
- Add the remaining cake cubes on top.
- Spoon the rest of the cherry pie filling over the second cake layer.
- Spread whipped topping over the entire dessert evenly.
- Garnish with fresh fruit if desired.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
