  • 1 box white or yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water or milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen strawberries, slightly thawed
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (for topping)
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped topping (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • Optional: 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water (or milk) until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. Scatter the slightly thawed strawberries over the batter.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the strawberry layer and lightly swirl with a knife.
  7. Sprinkle white chocolate chips and drizzle vanilla extract if using.
  8. Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until edges are golden and center is slightly jiggly.
  9. Cool the cake for at least 30 minutes.
  10. Spread whipped topping over the cooled cake and garnish with fresh strawberries.
