Ingredients

Scale

  • 12 lasagna noodles (regular or oven-ready)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven – Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook the Shrimp – Heat 2 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, then stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.
  3. Make the Cream Sauce – In the same pan, melt 2 tbsp butter, then whisk in heavy cream and Parmesan. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Prepare the Ricotta Mixture – In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, parsley, and Parmesan until well combined.
  5. Assemble the Lasagna
    • Spread a thin layer of cream sauce at the bottom of the baking dish.
    • Add a layer of lasagna noodles, followed by ricotta mixture, shrimp, mozzarella, and more sauce.
    • Repeat layers, finishing with a generous topping of mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Bake – Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let It Rest – Allow the lasagna to sit for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
