- 1 can (8-count) biscuits (or homemade)
- 2 cups shredded beef (slow-cooked or leftover roast)
- 4 slices provolone or Swiss cheese, cut in half
- 1 ½ cups beef broth
- ½ small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the beef by sautéing the onions and garlic in a pan over medium heat until softened. Add the shredded beef, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, then set aside.
- Bake the biscuits according to the package or recipe instructions until golden brown. Let them cool slightly.
- Assemble the biscuits by slicing them in half. Place a slice of cheese and a scoop of the shredded beef inside each biscuit.
- Melt the cheese by placing the assembled biscuits back in the oven for 3-5 minutes at 350°F (175°C) until the cheese is melted.
- Prepare the au jus by straining the beef broth mixture and warming it in a small saucepan.
- Serve warm, with a side of au jus for dipping. Enjoy!
