Description

These French Dip Biscuits are a delicious twist on the classic French dip sandwich, featuring flaky biscuits filled with tender shredded beef and melty cheese, served with a rich au jus for dipping. Perfect for appetizers, game day snacks, or a hearty meal, these biscuits are easy to make and packed with flavor!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 1 can (8-count) biscuits (or homemade)
  • 2 cups shredded beef (slow-cooked or leftover roast)
  • 4 slices provolone or Swiss cheese, cut in half
  • 1 ½ cups beef broth
  • ½ small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the beef by sautéing the onions and garlic in a pan over medium heat until softened. Add the shredded beef, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes, then set aside.
  3. Bake the biscuits according to the package or recipe instructions until golden brown. Let them cool slightly.
  4. Assemble the biscuits by slicing them in half. Place a slice of cheese and a scoop of the shredded beef inside each biscuit.
  5. Melt the cheese by placing the assembled biscuits back in the oven for 3-5 minutes at 350°F (175°C) until the cheese is melted.
  6. Prepare the au jus by straining the beef broth mixture and warming it in a small saucepan.
  7. Serve warm, with a side of au jus for dipping. Enjoy!
