Whether you’re looking for quick breakfast ideas, easy dinner appetizers, or healthy snack options, this mousse adds a gourmet touch with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

113g smoked salmon

226g cream cheese (softened)

60g sour cream

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried dill)

1/4 tsp black pepper

Optional: 1 tsp capers or 1 tsp prepared horseradish

Instructions

1. Roughly chop the smoked salmon and allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature.

2. In a food processor, blend the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.

3. Add the smoked salmon, lemon juice, dill, and black pepper. Blend until silky.

4. Taste and adjust seasoning, adding capers or horseradish if desired.

5. Transfer the mousse to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

6. Garnish with extra smoked salmon and dill before serving.

Notes

Let the mousse chill for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld beautifully.

Always use high-quality smoked salmon for the best taste and texture.

If the mousse becomes too firm in the fridge, let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving.
