Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/3 cup milk
1 egg
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup onion, finely grated
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
1. Finely mince garlic and grate the onion and Parmesan cheese. Chop parsley and soak breadcrumbs in milk.
2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef and pork, soaked breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, Parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix gently by hand.
3. Scoop about 1.5 tablespoons of mixture and roll into meatballs. Keep them uniform in size for even cooking.
4. To cook, either pan-fry in olive oil over medium heat for 10–12 minutes or bake at 400°F (200°C) for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
5. Let meatballs rest 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy over pasta, in subs, or with dipping sauce.
Notes
Soaking breadcrumbs in milk ensures moist, tender meatballs.
Don’t overmix the meat mixture; keep it light to avoid toughness.
Baking is a great option for cooking large batches quickly with less mess.
