Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

¾ cup water

1 ½ cups cooked white rice

1 cup nacho cheese sauce

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup sour cream

6 large flour tortillas

½ cup green onions

½ cup crispy tortilla strips

Pickled jalapeños to taste

Diced tomatoes or salsa to taste

Hot sauce or chipotle mayo as desired

½ cup refried beans or black beans (optional)

Instructions

1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 6–8 minutes. Drain excess grease.

2. Add taco seasoning and ¾ cup water. Stir and simmer until thickened, about 3–4 minutes. Remove from heat.

3. Warm the cooked rice and nacho cheese sauce until hot and smooth.

4. Heat flour tortillas in a skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.

5. To assemble: spread 1–2 tablespoons sour cream on each tortilla. Layer with ¼ cup rice, ⅓ cup beef, 2 tablespoons nacho cheese, and shredded cheddar.

6. Add optional toppings: crispy strips, green onions, jalapeños, tomatoes, etc.

7. Fold in the sides and roll the burrito tightly from bottom to top.

8. Toast burritos seam-side down in a skillet over medium heat for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and sealed.

9. Serve hot with your favorite sides or dipping sauces.

Notes

Toasting your burrito in a skillet locks in the shape and adds a golden, crispy finish.

Don’t overstuff the tortilla — this keeps it easy to roll and mess-free to eat.

Use fresh, warmed tortillas to prevent cracking during folding.
