1–2 tbsp milk

Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tbsp sugar. Stir and let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
2. Add remaining sugar, eggs, melted butter, and salt. Stir well. Add flour gradually until a sticky dough forms.
3. Knead with a stand mixer (6–8 mins) or by hand (10 mins) until smooth and elastic.
4. Transfer dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 to 1.5 hours or until doubled.
5. Mix 1 cup sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl.
6. Punch down dough and roll into a 10×18-inch rectangle.
7. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon sugar.
8. Slice vertically into 5 strips, stack, then cut into 5 stacks.
9. Place pieces vertically into a greased and lined 9×5-inch loaf pan. Let rise for 30–40 minutes.
