Description

Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites are golden-seared chunks of tender salmon coated in a creamy, spicy-sweet sauce that’s impossible to resist. Quick to cook and bold in flavor, they’re perfect for a crowd-pleasing appetizer or a punchy weeknight meal.


Ingredients

450g salmon fillet, skinless and boneless

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons cornstarch or all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons neutral oil (like canola or avocado)

3 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

1 teaspoon sriracha (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon lime juice

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or chives (optional garnish)


Instructions

1. Pat the salmon dry with paper towels and cut into 1 to 1½ inch cubes.

2. Season salmon cubes with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

3. Dust the salmon evenly with cornstarch or flour to create a light coating.

4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

5. Sear the salmon cubes in a single layer for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crisp.

6. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and lime juice to create the bang bang sauce.

7. Once the salmon is done, drizzle with the sauce or toss gently to coat.

8. Garnish with chopped herbs if using and serve immediately.


Notes

Patting the salmon dry is crucial for crisping—don’t skip it.

Always let your oil heat up before adding the salmon to get the best golden crust.

Toss the salmon with sauce only right before serving to maintain that crispy texture.
