Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
8 oz penne pasta
8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed
2 cups beef broth
1 ½ cups sliced mushrooms
½ cup diced onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup sour cream
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté for 2–3 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
2. Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.
3. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook for another 4–5 minutes until they release moisture and become tender.
4. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer, then stir in uncooked penne pasta. Cover and simmer for 12–14 minutes, stirring occasionally.
