Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

to taste black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
3 cups cooked white rice
Instructions
1. Season the chicken on both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add butter. Sauté garlic and onion until soft and fragrant.
4. Sprinkle in the flour and whisk until smooth to create a roux. Slowly add chicken broth while whisking.
5. Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, thyme, and Parmesan cheese. Simmer until slightly thickened.
