Ingredients
1.5 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 cup chicken broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Place the chicken in the bottom of the crock pot and season lightly with salt and pepper.
2. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, ranch seasoning, garlic, and chicken broth until mostly smooth.
3. Pour the mixture over the chicken and spread evenly.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours.
5. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the crumbled cooked bacon.
6. Once the chicken is tender, stir gently and garnish with parsley.
7. Serve warm over rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
Notes
Let the cream cheese come to room temperature before mixing to ensure a smoother sauce.
Add the bacon toward the end of cooking to preserve its flavor and texture.
If the sauce is too thick, stir in a splash of milk or broth before serving.
