Description
This dish is a creamy, comforting one-pan pasta that brings together cheese-filled tortellini, seared chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and a velvety Parmesan cream sauce. Inspired by the popular “Marry Me” flavor combo, it’s easy enough for a weeknight and impressive enough for a date night.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb cheese tortellini (refrigerated)
- 1 lb chicken breast, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper. Add to the skillet and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6–7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Sauté garlic and sun-dried tomatoes for 1–2 minutes.
- Pour in the cream and chicken broth. Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the tortellini and stir gently. Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Return cooked chicken to the pan and stir to combine.
- Add Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes (if using). Let simmer for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
