Description

A comforting, flavorful dish of golden-seared chicken breasts smothered in a creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. Perfect for weeknights or special dinners alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Sear chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Lower heat and add remaining butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth. Season with additional salt, pepper, and thyme if using.
  7. Return chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over, and simmer 8–10 minutes until heated through.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
