Ingredients

Scale

1 ½ cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

20 soft caramels

1 tablespoon heavy cream

2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles

1 teaspoon sea salt flakes (optional)

24 mini cupcake liners

Instructions

1. Line a mini muffin pan with 24 cupcake liners.

2. Melt ¾ cup of the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.

3. Spoon 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate into each liner and spread it slightly up the sides. Chill for 10–15 minutes.

4. In a saucepan or microwave, melt the caramels with heavy cream until smooth. Let it cool for 2–3 minutes.

5. Spoon a layer of caramel over the hardened chocolate, leaving space at the top. Chill for another 10 minutes.

6. Melt the remaining chocolate chips and spoon over the caramel to seal the cups.

7. Immediately top with holiday sprinkles or sea salt.

8. Chill for at least 30 minutes or until fully set.

9. Peel off liners and serve or store.

Notes

Always chill between layers to prevent mixing.

Let caramel cool slightly before pouring into cups for smoother texture.

These freeze beautifully—make ahead and store for up to 2 months.
