2 cups granulated sugar

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups quick-cooking oats

1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)


Instructions

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside.

2. In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, sugar, milk, and cocoa powder.

3. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture is melted and smooth.

4. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil and let boil for exactly 1 minute.

5. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until fully blended.

6. Add the quick oats and salt (if using), stirring until well coated.

7. Quickly drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.

8. Let the cookies cool at room temperature for 20–30 minutes or refrigerate for 15 minutes until firm.


Notes

Boil the mixture for exactly one minute—this ensures the cookies will set properly.

Use quick oats for the best texture and consistency.

Natural peanut butter is not recommended due to its oil separation.
