Description

These Cheeseburger Quesadillas combine the best of two comfort food classics—juicy ground beef, melty cheese, and crispy tortillas—into one deliciously satisfying bite. Quick to make, easy to customize, and perfect for lunch, dinner, or late-night cravings.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef (80/20 or 85/15)

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1/4 cup diced tomatoes or chopped pickles (optional)

1 tablespoon ketchup

1 teaspoon yellow mustard (optional)

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

4 large flour tortillas

1 tablespoon butter or neutral oil

Fresh parsley or shredded lettuce (optional)

Instructions

1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Add chopped onions and sauté until softened.

2. Drain excess grease. Stir in salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, ketchup, and mustard. Let simmer for 1 minute, then remove from heat.

3. Lay tortillas on a clean surface. On one half of each, layer shredded cheese, seasoned beef mixture, optional tomatoes or pickles, and a bit more cheese. Fold tortillas over the filling.

4. Wipe skillet clean and return to medium heat. Add butter or oil, then place folded quesadilla in the pan. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Repeat with remaining quesadillas.

5. Let quesadillas rest for 1–2 minutes before slicing into wedges. Serve with garnish or dipping sauces if desired.

Notes

Grate your own cheese for better melting and flavor.

Let quesadillas rest before slicing to keep the filling intact.

Use a hot skillet for crispy, golden tortillas.
