Ingredients

Scale

6 cups Rice Chex Cereal

6 cups Corn Chex Cereal

2 cups mini pretzel sticks

1 cup caramel candies, chopped

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, and mini pretzels.

3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, stir in brown sugar and salt, then bring to a gentle bubble.

4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.

5. Pour the caramel mixture over cereal and pretzels, gently tossing to coat evenly.

6. Spread the mix on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

7. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring halfway through.

8. While baking, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

9. Remove mix from oven and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar while still warm, tossing to coat.

10. Cool completely, then add chopped caramel candies.

11. Store in an airtight container or serve immediately.

Notes

Let the mix cool fully before storing to avoid sogginess.

For a nutty twist, add roasted pecans or cashews after baking.

Use gluten-free cereal and pretzels if needed to make this recipe gluten-free.
