Ingredients
1 batch brownies (about 9x13 pan worth), baked and cooled
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening
1/3 cup crushed candy canes
Instructions
1. Let the brownies cool completely after baking. Crumble them into a large bowl, removing any overly crispy edges.
2. Add the softened cream cheese to the brownie crumbs and mix until fully combined and dough-like.
3. Roll about 1 tablespoon of the mixture into small balls using your hands. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
4. Freeze the rolled brownie balls for 30 minutes until firm.
5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
6. Dip each brownie ball into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off. Return to the baking sheet.
7. Immediately sprinkle crushed candy canes over the top of each dipped ball.
8. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or until the chocolate is fully set.
Notes
For best texture, use dense and chewy brownies—not cakey ones.
Freeze the balls before dipping to keep them from falling apart in the chocolate.
Crush candy canes right before topping to keep them crisp and prevent melting.
